Principals Message

 Welcome to St. Hilda’s

Choosing a School for your daughter is an important decision. You should reflect on all you know about your daughter and what it is that you want for her and then find out as much as you can about the school you are considering. I hope our website will be useful for you in this.

I believe that a good school celebrates its past, enjoys  its present and imagines its future.;But a great school challenges the students to be actively involved in all these things for themselves, this is what we do at St. Hilda’s School.

In regards to the past our girls know that they stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before them. Special school traditions are enjoyed and the direction of our school leaders is respected and valued- Our school motto ‘Blessed are the pure in Heart’ is an important part of our heritage and shapes who we are .It inspires each girl to look out for the need of others by exercising maturity and empathy. In this way our core values of love, compassion, ,forgiveness, hope and grace are called upon and become dynamic realities.

St. Hilda’s girls certainly know how to enjoy the present.

If you visit the school, you will sense our friendly and positive community in action. There is much warmth and joy in our school setting and in our boarding. Our girls take an active part in sports with enthusiasm and excel in music and cultural pursuits. In all their endeavours, our girls are encouraged to take hold of each moment and make it count. Leadership development is also a focus.

We believe it is important that the girls are trusted to make decisions, step up to leadership and own responsibilities which will help them to grow

We know that the very best schooling prepares students for the future. Our girls are entering a world that requires them to be critical and creative thinkers, flexible in the ways they respond to challenges and confident to use technology as a powerful tool to enable each girl to confidently harness the possibilities of her future.

It is indeed a privilege to lead the St. Hilda’s School community. I am proud of the past, I am committed to the present and enthusiastic about the future.

St. Hilda’s School continues to uphold traditional values while adapting contemporary pedagogies. Individuals having diverse backgrounds, carrying unique streaks of values, traditions and culture enter the portals of the learning community. At St. Hilda’s unrelenting efforts goes in mentoring and metamorphosing the uncut diamonds into the finer Hilda's gems.

St. Hilda’s is an amalgamation of competent teachers, heritage infrastructure with modern facilities , idyllic setting and experienced and efficient administration ,pollution free environment, CISCE and State board curriculum, excellent pastoral care,  nutritious and sumptuous veg and non veg diet. These are some of our strengths.

Education is not learning by rote. Our approach is student centered and goes beyond text books, classrooms  and boundaries ,  Girls develop practical skills, enabling them to apply their learning to unfamiliar situations and think critically  about different issues .These prepare them for a lifelong success . At the core of the schools educational philosophy, modern education and cultural heritage are complementary and help the girls to become better citizens.

St. Hilda’s nourishes, nurtures and binds our families by the tenacious threads of values and ethos. Our staff dedicatedly follow the motto of ‘Beati mundo corde’in their quest for excellence. It is because of their selfless and relentless effort that the school has reached majestic heights. Excellent ICSE, class X board results and state board Class XII results complement their dreams.

St. Hilda’s teachers their students that failure is only the first step to success and they must stand up each time they fail; to rise like the phoenix from the ashes what was yesterday and to soar with wings widespread  into the opportunities of tomorrow.

We are very grateful to our parents for their co-operation. Without their single minded valuable contribution between the school and home we would not be able to offer the holistic education towards which we are striving.

God Bless the school
